A Reason to Celebrate
WOW! I can't believe it is already 7 days into the new year. My mom was right, the older you get - the faster time flies. There's been lots of celebrating lately with Christmas and the New Year. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the Holidays and is ready for God's blessings in 2009 :) Before I start blogging about the future, I would like to share a little more about the happenings during the end of my 2008.
In December, I photographed a celebration of marriage - 50 years of marriage to be exact. What a beautiful gift from God. This was the sweetest couple and their love was obvious. It was that, "my heart beats fast when I hear his voice" kind of love. The "I can't help but smile when I say her name" kind of love. And "it's been 50 years and I hope for 50 more" kind of love. What a pleasure it was to be part of this event.
Here are a few of my favorites:
The dress Sharon wore 50 years ago -
I love details - and there were lots of them :)
The event was catered and coordinated by Celebrations - they did a beautiful job.
Dennis & Sharon - the sweetest couple
Sharon was so surprised about her cake - it was a remake of the original and it was yummy :)
I had too many to choose from so I decided to make a slide-show.

Happy 50th Anniversary Dennis & Sharon! It was a pleasure to spend the evening with you and your loved ones.
Thank you Lisa for choosing me to photograph such a special occasion. It was truly an honor.
Thank you Lori for referring Lisa to me :)

Jennifer, what a sweet post about Dennis and Sharon, and every word is true...50 years later and they are still on their honeymoon! Thanks so much to you and Laurel for taking all the awesome pictures, and to your sweet husband for setting up the slideshow. You have captured all the details of this special event in our family and preserved our memories to share for years to come. Love you and thanks so much!
